So “water plant every day” would instead be entered as “water plant every Monday”, “water plant every Tuesday”, etc. A workaround would be to create separate tasks per day. When that date comes, I either complete it or reschedule it-the point is that the assigned due date forced me to think about the task and make a decision: complete or reschedule. Otherwise, it’s just creating extra work for no reason. If you did read it, big thank you!! Would really appreciate some help here, even if you only answer one :)Ĭontext tags should only be used if it’s going to actually help you prioritize and be more productive. It helps for me to have an outline of my day with tasks organised.Īpologies for the super long post! Been dwelling on it too much and thought a fresh perspective would help. Is there any way to do so? I cannot seem to add sections like "Morning", "Afternoon", etc in Today view either. I would like to reorder tasks based on the order I want to do them. How do you, personally, go about things like that? Technically they are tasks so should go into Todoist? How do you go about saving your "To Watch", or "to Read" lists?īy the same token, how do you handle minute tasks like "Read X newsletter from email?" I find that multiple reminders for similar things would make me focus less on the more important tasks (and even if I prioritise) there will be too many of such things. I don't exactly want to clutter my Todoist with this but there Is also less friction to do so in Todoist vs in Notion. I get into the habit of "hoarding" any content - I accumulate a lot of videos to watch, articles to read, posts to view, etc.
#Todoist setup full#
Is there any way to show recurring tasks on each day? When I look at "tomorrow", for example, I want to have a full view of my day including the everyday recurring tasks but I only see them under "today" Is there any way to make this distinction? (I was thinking I'll just add it as an event to my Google Calendar but would like to see what you guys think) Sometimes I like to allocate certain dates to a task, but have to do this using the due date feature even if it might have a different due date. How do you guys make sure such tasks are not forgotten and consistently being worked on? For example, planning a friend's trip to my country.

There are some tasks which I don't really dedicate a particular day to, but need to be done during the week. It does seem to be useful but I was wondering if someone has tried this and found it to be helpful? I think I've got a decent Todoist setup going, but I still have some questions and would love to get your opinion on any of the following:ĭo you add context in the form of "Home", "Computer", "Town", etc? In my setup, areas are highlighted as labels for context so my list of labels would get massively long if I do so. I'm trying to implement GTD, but I find the time sector method more suited to me than organising by areas. I've recently began redoing my "productivity system" after 2 years of watching productivity gurus on YouTube, getting overwhelmed and ending up with nothing more than a messy brain tackling a myriad of tasks, just getting by on survival mode (ADHD, have you guessed by now)
